Joel served as volunteer Chair of the LEED Steering Committee for
the USGBC from 2009 through 2013, and co-chaired the LEED Social Equity Working Group. Currently, she serves on the LEED for Cities Working Group and the WELL Materials Advisory Group. She has been involved in green building work, in the US and around the world, since 1989.
