Sade Dennis
Director, Market Transformation & Development for Maryland, National Capital Region and Virginia
Sade Dennis is the Director of the Maryland, National Capital Region, and Virginia Communities for Market Transformation and Development at the U.S. Green Building Council. She is known for her relationship & coalition building and stakeholder engagement to achieve critical core missions. Notably, Sade played a pivotal role in spearheading the 2023 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo Host Committee, where she led the Legacy Project with partners and other stakeholders. Her innovation and leadership extended to envisioning the Prince George's County delegation of elected officials and municipal leaders to Greenbuild 2023 in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining USGBC, Sade worked as a Community Developer and Brand Manager for the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, Maryland, where she worked directly with the State’s Attorney, elected officials, and other municipal & grassroots stakeholders. Sade led annual initiatives and critical special programming such the Purple Bike Ride for Domestic Violence Prevention & Awareness, which brought out hundreds of cyclists, volunteers and law enforcement as well as other flagship events and programming.
Throughout her career, Sade has demonstrated a strong commitment to community wellness. Sade is passionate about creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all. With a dedication to mission-focused nonprofits, Sade leverages her voice both figuratively and literally. This includes moderating, speaking and voice-overs. Outside of her professional endeavors, Sade is an avid cyclist who explores local trails, with her longest ride spanning 65 miles. Additionally, she is a juried artist and volunteer in her community.
Sade graduated from Bowie State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Management with a Marketing Concentration and a Master’s Degree in Management with a Marketing Concentration from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
