Through programming, outreach, and market development activities, we support, promote, educate, and grow the green building industry.

- Almost 2500 buildings are LEED-certified in the Carolinas.
- The Carolinas has seven jurisdictions certified under LEED for Cities and Communities.

- More than 3000 green building experts, stakeholders, advocates and enthusiasts reside in North and South Carolina and work in sustainability.
- Over 120 USGBC member organizations are headquartered in the Carolinas.
Led by the Market Leadership Advisory Board and other volunteers, corporate and non-profit partners and USGBC staff, USGBC Carolinas is part of USGBC’s larger network dedicated to promoting sustainability worldwide. We advance USGBC’s mission locally by growing the influence of LEED and other sustainability-centered solutions offered through GBCI that improve the quality of life in our cities and neighborhoods. Our current priority topics include decarbonization, quality of life, and ecological conservation and restoration.
