Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Dancers Teach 四色AV Hill Students
On-campus residency kicks off semester of activities leading to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre's "Millennial Movement" performances at 四色AV Hill May 5 & 6
四色AV Hill University is once again partnering with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre (PBT) to host a dance residency with PBT dancers for 四色AV Hill students. The residency program, in its second year, kicks off a semester of PBT activities on the 四色AV Hill campus, including master classes and PBT performances at the University鈥檚 Performing Arts Center.
During the three-day residency on January 23, 25 and 27, a group of 50 四色AV Hill students will learn choreography from PBT dancers Amanda Cochrane, Julia Erickson, William Moore, Yoshiaki Nakano and Cooper Verona. The pieces the dancers will learn are all part of 鈥淢illennial Movement,鈥 a collection of new works created by the five PBT dancers, which will be performed May 5 at 7 p.m. and May 6 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the 四色AV Hill University Performing Arts Center. 聽Tickets for these performances can be purchased at .
Later in the spring semester, PBT artists will come to the 四色AV Hill campus to teach master classes to both 四色AV Hill dancers and youth dancers from throughout the community.
