Leigh DeWitte

Sr. Associate

U.S. Green Building Council


Leigh DeWitte is the Sr. Associate for the U.S. Market Transformation & Development team focused on the Maryland, National Capital Region, and Virginia communities of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). In this role, Leigh works to engage, enable, and highlight the opportunities for the community to achieve a more sustainable future through USGBC’s opportunities. Leigh has supported the National Capital Region community since 2018 and Maryland and Virginia since 2020. These include logistics, emails, and connection to the community education and signature events. She has worked with multiple volunteer committees for the communities including the Market Leadership Advisory Boards, Women in Green committees, and Emerging Professionals committees. In 2023 Leigh was a member of the Greenbuild 2023 Host Committee as USGBC staff. She worked with the Tours subcommittee that organized and coordinated 19 tours in the DC region that recognized over 30 different projects. Leigh graduated from George Mason University, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She has previously worked at organizations such as; Cushman & Wakefield and Wolf Trap: Foundation for the Performing Arts.
