Lisa is a Registered Architect and LEED Fellow practicing in the Design and Construction industry with a focus on Sustainability. Lisa has spent the majority of her career with Turner Construction, she is a founding and active member of Turner’s National Sustainability Committee where we develop recommendations for sustainability policies and procedures, oversee their implementation, set corporate environmental performance goals and ensure that these goals are met, support sustainability training and provide operational oversight as needed. Lisa has led the engineering and documentation efforts on multiple LEED projects, including Novartis Oncology Consolidation, BASF, and GOAA Orlando Airport Terminal C among others. She is also credited for training hundreds of clients and colleagues with their Sustainability credentials and helping to establish ”Green Teams” in multiple Turner business units. She is regularly sought after as a subject matter expert for project proposals with sustainability attributes, LEED project launches, strategic sustainability initiatives, construction engineering processes as well as lean, sustainability, and safety synergies. Lisa has a passion for educating students and mentoring junior colleagues.
Lisa’s additional industry leadership includes being a current member of Oviedo Sustainability Task Force, Turner’s Women In Turner Florida Group, the AIA Women In Architecture Orlando Chapter, and the USGBC Florida Women in Green Committee. She previously served on the Executive Board for the AIA Newark and Suburban and the USGBC NJ and she was an integral member of the Hanover Township NJ Green Team in 2015 which secured "Sustainable Jersey" Certification, AIA Committee On The Environment Member, USGBC WIG Committee, USGBC Big South LEED Advancement, USGBC LEED Ambassador, USGBC GreenBuild 2022 Education Session Reviewer. She is also on the Simply Amazing Board of Directors as a Corporate Liaison (a nonprofit providing Art Boxes to deserving children in Florida), and a member of Oviedo Women’s Club serving on the Environmental Committee and Health & Wellbeing Committee.
As a Design Specialist - Architectural and Sustainability for Turner Construction’s Engineering Group, Lisa performs sustainability analysis and provides input to multi-discipline technical reviews, examines sustainability details, recommends sequencing and logistics related to sustainability work, evaluates and provides recommendations to project teams for technical support related to sustainability goals and she develops critical sustainability resources and knowledge to be used by internal teams and external clients.
