Sarfaraj is a Chartered Engineer and seasoned Sustainability and Commissioning professional with over 21 years of experience in the Middle East, I specialize in driving impactful sustainability initiatives across ESG, energy, carbon/GHG management, decarbonization strategies, and green building certifications. In my current role, I lead a team of Senior Engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects while advancing sustainability goals and enhancing operational efficiency.

Sarfaraj expertise lies in delivering cutting-edge advisory services in areas such as Sustainability Certification (Estidama, LEED, WELL, and Envision), as well as ESG/Sustainability reporting aligned with GRI standards, carbon/GHG accounting, and energy conservation measures. I have successfully led sustainability strategies and commissioning management across a diverse range of projects, ensuring the optimal environmental performance and successful delivery of green building solutions.

Sarfaraj hold dual Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Science and hold several certifications, including PMP, LEED AP, LEED Green Rater, WELL AP, WELL PTA, Envision AP, Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP-Building & Community), Building Commissioning Professional (ASHRAE), Certified Energy Auditor (AEE), and ISO Lead Auditor for 9001 & 14001. These qualifications, coupled with my extensive experience, enable me to provide integrated solutions for energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and sustainable building performance.

Sarfaraj had successfully led the certification of numerous LEED and Estidama projects across the MENA region, consistently delivering exceptional results in sustainability, decarbonization, and green building strategies. I have contributed to over 70 projects spanning a diverse portfolio, including high-rise towers, multi-residential developments, large-scale villa communities, government facilities (such as police stations, social support centers, civil defense buildings, and courthouses), airports, schools, universities, mosques, shopping malls, luxury hotels, medical centers, banks, museums, and community infrastructure.

Sarfaraj technical expertise encompasses MEP and commissioning design, supervision, and green building certification for over 30 buildings. In addition, I have served as an Independent Commissioning Agent on more than 20 projects, ensuring systems operate efficiently while meeting performance targets. My portfolio also includes specialized services such as energy audits, environmental and waste consultancy, and Legionella auditing, further demonstrating my commitment to advancing sustainable and efficient built environments.
