Simon has extensive experience in general management, business ownership, sign manufacturing, and project management from initial concept through final installation. From 2019, his passion has been developing and marketing products dramatically reducing the amount of plastic used in the sign industry.
As co-founder and Director of Client Experience at Green Dot Sign Simon led the product development leading to Green Dot’s patent pending ADA sign technology reducing plastic use by 99%. Along the way, he paid careful attention to clients' needs to expand and improve their product line, leading to successful projects in the healthcare, civic, university, corporate, retail, multi-tenant residential and K-12 marketplaces.
His passion for beautiful signage has helped lead him and the organization to numerous awards, including the “Most Innovative” exhibitor award at Greenbuild 2019 and being named a 2020 “Maker of Tomorrow” by Signs of the Times. More important, though, are the countless end users reaching out to touch a Green Dot Sign.
Simon received a BA from Oberlin College in East Asian Studies and Economics. He sits on the USGBC MN Leadership Advisory Board and volunteers with the Oberlin EnviroAlums.
