San Pedro Garza GarcÃa is a vibrant city with attractive and accessible public space for everyone. Our mission is to create quality of life in the public space with the engagement of the community taking sustainability as an approach to build the ideal city we all aspire to live in.
Located in the northeast of México, with a population of 132,169 inhabitants and an area of 7,093 hectares, San Pedro borders Monterrey City and is part of the Monterrey Metropolitan Area, the second largest metropolitan area in the country.
The LEED certification is a tool that aligns with the goals established for the city development, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals, offering the city a framework to reinforce our compromise towards the protection of the environment and the quality of life of all citizens, and also to fulfill our commitment with the global agenda. It also demonstrates that our city has the processes, operating regulations and systems to use our resources efficiently. From the design of our city, we save energy and water, as well as encourage the use of cleaner technologies.
Strategies like the rehabilitation of public parks, the conservation of natural resources, the urban regulations to create a more diverse city, the protection of our architectural and urban heritage, and the implementation of a recycling collection route and centers, have started a path to a more sustainable city.
During this process, we found elements that helped us to be more responsible with the environment, more efficient in managing our resources, and finally, to become a government that leads the community towards a future we can feel proud of.
